What is a TIXEL® TREATMENT?

The result of the TIXEL® TREATMENT is similar to that of a CO2 laser, but the treatment is much less painful and has less down time, because TIXEL® TREATMENT damages the skin much less. After one treatment an improvement is already visible, but after three to four treatments the optimal result is achieved. The optimal effect continues for several months because collagen takes a longer time to be produced. It is advisable to do a maintenance treatment every now and then so that the result remains beautiful and keeps getting better.

How does the TIXEL® TREATMENT?

The technology of TIXEL® TREATMENT works on the basis of heat.
The TIXEL® uses a new technique called Thermo-Mechanical Ablation. This means that the titanium head (1 cm2) with small titanium pins is shot very closely against the skin. By means of a short contact time with the skin, sterile micro holes are made in the skin and the heat is brought deep into the skin. The small wounds initiate a wound healing process. The release of heat in the dermis ensures the production of collagen, which results in a firmer skin.

The special thing about a tixel treatment is that the effect is the same as the well-known CO2 laser treatment, only with less down time and the treatment is less painful.

What are the steps for an optimal effect?

Before the treatment, the skin is first thoroughly cleaned. The TIXEL® is placed on the skin and gives heat pulses. This feels like a short tap, like a rubber band bouncing against the skin. Afterwards, the skin feels warm and a restorative cream is applied. This may remain on the treated area until the next morning, so that it can soothe the skin.

Important to know! Do's & Don't's

After the treatment it is important to use a daily sun protection. The day after the treatment, the skin may appear redder and in some cases there may be a slight swelling. This disappears within a few days. The day after the treatment you can use mineral-based make-up again.
